Spotlight on Gifted and Talented: Grade 6 G/T SMART
Students in Mr. Anderson's G/T SMART class recently completed an engineering activity in which they designed and built toothpick bridges, and then tested the strength of their bridges by adding weights until they collapsed. In addition, they practiced technical drawing skills employed by engineers as part of the design process. Students in Sixth Grade G/T SMART split their time each quarter between STEM activities in Mr. Anderson's class and Humanities-themed projects in Mrs. Carroll's class.

Events at RMS
Cultural Showcase Night April 27th
Please join us for our Cultural Showcase Night on Friday, April 27th, from 6:00-8:00pm. From 6-7pm will have food from a variety of cultures represented at RMS, and displays of student Cultural History projects to view. From 7-8pm we will have performances and a fashion show, representing the many different cultures at RMS. This is a great event - don't miss it!
Events for Next Year's 6th Graders and Families
Please encourage your friends and neighbors with 5th grade students to join us for a tour at 9:00am on on May 1st, and for our annual Orientation Night at 7:00pm on May 7th. Tours are for families who are new to RMS and want to see our school "in action" during the school day. Orientation is for ALL incoming 6th grade students and families! We looking forward to welcoming our new 6th grade class to RMS.
